Deepak Garg

Deepak Garg currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of SR University since June 2023. In parallel, Deepak has been the Director of leadingindia.ai since September 2017, steering a nationwide research and skilling initiative in AI, which has successfully trained one million students through a robust consortium. Prior to these roles, Deepak held the position of Director at NVIDIA-Bennett Center of Research on AI from September 2017 to May 2023, collaborating with numerous industry clients on various AI-related projects. Deepak was also the Dean of the School of Computer Science Engineering and Dean of International Relations at Bennett University from June 2016 to May 2023, contributing to the school's recognition as the second-best emerging university in India. Deepak's academic career includes a significant tenure as Professor and Head of Computer Science Engineering at Thapar University, as well as earlier roles as a Lecturer and Software Engineer. Educationally, Deepak holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Thapar Institute and a B.Tech in the same field from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology.
