Leora Morgenstern

Leora Morgenstern is a Principal Scientist at SRI, focusing on the DARPA Computational Cultural Understanding program since April 2023. Prior to this, Leora served as a Principal Scientist at PARC, where involvement in DARPA programs was prominent, including the COMBAT AIE and Big Mechanism initiatives. With extensive experience, Leora is also the Chair of the Executive Committee at commonsensereasoning.org, organizing the Commonsense Reasoning Symposium and the Winograd Schema Challenge. Previous roles encompass Chief Scientist at Systems & Technology Research, Senior Principal Research Scientist at Nuance Communications, and various leadership positions at Leidos, Science Applications International Corporation, W3C, and New York University. Leora earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from New York University and a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from The City College of New York.
