Raman Goyal

Raman Goyal is an accomplished Advanced Computer Scientist at SRI since May 2023, focusing on enhancing the resilience of autonomous systems through AI/ML, Reinforcement Learning, Controls, and Optimization. Prior to this, Raman served as a Research Scientist at PARC from June 2021 to May 2023, leading similar innovative projects post-merger with SRI International. Raman's academic background includes a postdoctoral position at Texas A&M University's Land Air & Space Robotics Laboratory, where an efficient reinforcement learning algorithm for high DOF robotic systems was developed, along with earlier roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and an Instructor of Record in Aerospace Engineering. Raman co-founded IIT Roorkee Motorsports and holds a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University.
