Youkabed F. Ostadhossein (Ph.D.) is a Research Scientist III (Materials Engineer) at SRI, leading a multi-disciplinary team and collaborating with various stakeholders on government and commercial projects since May 2023. Prior to this role, Youkabed served as a Senior Materials Engineer at PARC, contributing to a significant contract for space-based polymer manufacturing. Experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, where innovative hydrogel composites were developed, and a Beckman postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois, focusing on fluorescent nanoparticles for imaging applications. Youkabed holds multiple degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, including a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a postdoctoral fellowship from Stanford University.
