Edgar Montiel

Edgar Montiel is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at SRK Consulting, with experience since December 2020 in developing surface and underground geotechnical projects using 3D numerical analysis. Prior to this role, Edgar served as Project Manager at Geocontrol S.A. and held positions as a Technical Advisor and Project Manager at Comisión Federal de Electricidad from 2008 to 2017, focusing on geotechnical project planning, excavation stability, and risk evaluation. Edgar also contributed to academia as a Subject Professor in Rock Mechanics and Excavation Geotechnics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2012 to 2017. Edgar holds a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geotechnics and a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering, both from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
