Aaldert van Amerongen

Expert For The Netherlands In ESA Data Operations Scientific And Technical Advisory Group (dostag) at SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research

Aaldert van Amerongen conducted research on Bose-Einstein condensate on a micro-electronic chip during their time as a PhD researcher at the University of Amsterdam from 2002 to 2008. Aaldert currently serves as the Head of the Earth Observation program and the Delegate for The Netherlands in the ESA Data Operations Scientific and Technical Advisory Group (DOSTAG) at SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research since April 2020. Prior to this, Aaldert held various positions such as Senior Project Manager, Section Head optical instruments, Project Manager, and Instrument Scientist at the same institute from February 2008 to March 2020, where Aaldert managed project clusters for aerosol detection instrumentation on projects like SPEXone, CO2M, SCARBO, and SPEX airborne.
