Sofia Kanold

Sofia Kanold has a diverse work experience spanning over 23 years. Sofia is currently the Head of Group Business Control at SSAB since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Stora Enso from 2013 to 2021, holding various roles including Country Controller Sweden, Special Projects CEO Office, and Group Business Controller. From 2008 to 2013, Sofia worked at EF Education First as a Business Controller, and earlier as a Business Controller ET Operations. Before that, they were associated with Telia Company from 2000 to 2008, where they held positions such as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Senior Strategy Analyst Business Development, Manager of Business Control Networks, and Sales Manager Capacity, Voice & IP services. Sofia also briefly worked as a General Manager at Tenderloin Hong Kong LTD in 2000 and started their career at ABB Financial Services as a Junior Associate in 1999. Sofia had previously participated in the Management Trainee program at ABB Financial Services from 1998 to 1999.

Sofia Kanold completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. Sofia then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Corporate Finance & Strategy at Lund University from 1994 to 1997. Later, in 2013-2014, Sofia participated in the Partnership Program StoraEnso Pathbuilders at IMD.
