Mike Rose

Mike Rose is an experienced Geotechnical Engineering Manager and Geotechnical Technical Authority at SSE Renewables, overseeing offshore geotechnical design for various renewable energy projects since May 2012. Responsibilities include technical reviews, strategic planning, and risk management. Prior to SSE, Mike held the position of Senior Project Engineer at Cathie Associates, where project management involved offshore driven pile design and geohazard assessments. Earlier career roles include Geotechnical Engineer at Atkins, focusing on foundation design and rock slope assessment, and Site Engineer at Allied Exploration & Geotechnics. Mike holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering Geology from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology and Petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen.
