Gareth James

Gareth James has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, spanning multiple leadership roles. Gareth currently serves as the Operations Director at St Austell Brewery, overseeing a portfolio of 44 pubs with a turnover of £80 million and a team of 1100. Prior to this, Gareth worked as an Operations Manager for Craft Union Pub Co, where they managed a division of over 100 pubs and produced a turnover of £42 million. Gareth also held the position of Senior Regional Manager at Bermondsey Pubs during the acquisition and merger of Ei Group and Stonegate Group. Gareth began their career as a Restaurant Manager at Pizza Hut UK & Europe and has since held various management positions, including Area Manager at KFC UK & Ireland and Site General Manager at Moto Hospitality. Throughout their career, Gareth has consistently demonstrated strong operational and leadership skills, successfully managing large teams and driving business growth.

Gareth James attended Exeter Business School from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained an HND in Business Management.
