Daniel Russenberger has over 20 years of experience in IT audit and management. Daniel began their career as an IT Junior Auditor at Winterthur Group in 1999. Daniel then worked as an IT Auditor at Credit Suisse First Boston before returning to Winterthur Group as an IT Audit Manager. Daniel went on to become a Business Audit Manager at Winterthur Group / Credit Suisse. In 2007, they joined Credit Suisse as a Senior IT Audit Manager, a role they held for almost 10 years. Daniel is currently the Head of IT Audit at St. Galler Kantonalbank AG.

Daniel Russenberger's education history begins in 1993 when they attended the University of Zurich, where they obtained a Master's degree in Business and Computer Science, which they completed in 1999. In 2000, Daniel enrolled in ISACA and received a degree in Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 2001. Daniel furthered their education in the field of Information Systems Security with ISC2, where they earned a degree in CISSP in 2004. In 2005, Daniel attended Lucerne University and completed a Master of Advanced Studies in Economic Crime Investigation, which they finished in 2007. Moving forward to 2011, they obtained a Certificate in ISO 27001 Lead Auditor from Swiss InfoSec, and also completed a degree in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in the same year. Additionally, in 2004, Daniel earned a diploma in Life Insurance from the BVF Swiss Institute for Professional and Higher Degree Exams in Banking, Insurance, and Financial Planning.
