John Waring

John Waring has a diverse range of work experience. John started working as the Leadership and Management Training Coordinator at the Office of the United States Security Coordinator in 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Training Director at the UK Defence Intelligence and Security Centre. Then, from 2013 to 2016, they worked as the Human Resources Business Manager for the European Union Military Staff at the European External Action Service. Following that, they joined the European Defence Agency as a Corporate Programmes and Project Management Officer until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they served as a Principal Consultant at MI-GSO | PCUBED. Currently, as of 2022, they are the Head of Responsible Business Consultancy - Corporate at St. James's Place.

John Waring completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry at Sir John Cass School of Science, with an end year in 1986. John then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry at the University of Bristol from 1986 to 1992. After a significant gap, John obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Leadership and Management from the University of Portsmouth, with an end year in 2010.

In addition to their academic qualifications, John Waring has obtained several certifications. These include the Change Management PRACTITIONER certificate from APMG International in October 2021, the Certified SAFe 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile Inc in March 2020, the Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt certification from 100% Effective Ltd in July 2019, the MSP Practioner certificate in Programme Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in February 2017, the MoR Practioner certificate in Risk Management from Alexos Global Best Practice in July 2016, the Prince2 Practioner certificate in Project Management from Alexos Global Best Practice in May 2016, the APM Practioner certification from the Association for Project Management in July 2015, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2019.
