Group Manager, Business Continuity Management at St John of God Health Care

Daniel Forsdyke is the Group Manager of Business Continuity Management at St John of God Health Care. Daniel has over fifteen years of experience in emergency management and fire safety coordination.

Daniel started their career as an Emergency Management Officer at Royal Perth Hospital in 2006. In this role, they were responsible for staff education in emergency procedures and disaster management, two-way radio operations and planning, and reviewing the Hospital Emergency Procedures Manual.

In 2014, Daniel became the Emergency Management & Fire Safety Coordinator at Royal Perth Hospital. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring evacuation diagrams were compliant, reviewed and updated, ensuring emergency action plans were reviewed and updated, developing and delivering Area Warden / Fire Warden training, developing and delivering Emergency Response Team training, maintaining and operating the Emergency Operations Centre, and conducting regular audits of the hospital's fire safety compliance.

In July 2015, Daniel left Royal Perth Hospital to take on the role of Emergency Management Coordinator at St John of God Health Care. In this role, they work with internal and external stakeholders to implement and manage emergency procedures, pandemic planning, business continuity management, disaster planning, and crisis management.

Daniel Forsdyke's educational career includes completing an advanced diploma in public safety (emergency management) from the Australian Emergency Management Institute, a bachelor of science (B.Sc.) in registered nursing/registered nurse from Curtin University of Technology, and a diploma of audio engineering from the SAE Institute of Technology - Perth.

They are on a team with Brianna Lock - Project Lead (Hospitals), Loren Cresswell - Project Lead (Hospitals), and Ayden Doohan - Project Lead (Hospitals). Daniel Forsdyke reports to Colin Young, Project Manager Hospital Operations.
