Alicia Powers

Process Development Senior Scientist II at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Alicia Powers is a highly experienced scientist in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as Lead Scientist and Manager of Process Development at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital since November 2018, after advancing from the role of Process Development Senior Scientist II since June 2013. Powers has developed critical processes for producing therapeutics using iCELLis nano bioreactors and has expertise in managing bioreactor operations and optimizing product yields through various analytical techniques. Previous experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Powers developed an assay for Met kinase, and roles in summer internships focused on mammalian cell cultures and solvent extraction at prominent research institutions. Alicia Powers holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
