Qingsong Gao is a highly experienced bioinformatics research scientist with a strong background in cancer genomics and large-scale next generation sequencing data analysis. Currently serving as Lead Bioinformatics Research Scientist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC since January 2019, Qingsong has contributed to projects involving whole genome sequencing (WGS), single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), ChIP-seq, and ATAC-seq. Previously, Qingsong held the position of Bioinformatics Research Scientist at Washington University in St. Louis, where responsibilities included cancer genomics, proteogenomics, and involvement in significant projects such as TCGA, CCLE, and CPTAC. Qingsong holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Freie Universität Berlin, a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Shandong University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the same institution.
