Sarah Farwell

Chief of Strategy & Governance at St. Mary's General Hospital

Sarah Farwell is the Director of Strategy, Innovation & Communications at St. Mary's General Hospital. Prior to their current role, Sarah served as the COVID-19 Response Lead and Primary Care Lead for Waterloo Wellington at Ontario Health. In this role, Sarah was responsible for planning and coordinating the delivery of health care services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Previously, Sarah was the Manager of Health System Integration at Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network, where they were responsible for planning, implementing, integrating, and funding health service providers in Waterloo Wellington. Sarah has also worked as an Instructor at Humber College and Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, teaching courses in LifeSpan development, Anatomy, Physiology, Human Development, and Human Behaviour.

Sarah is a Chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Sarah received their Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2010 and their Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2011.

Sarah Farwell has obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree (D.C.) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, a Masters of Health Studies from Athabasca University, and Prosci Change Management Certification from Prosci Inc. Sarah has also completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Dalhousie University.

Their manager is Sherri Ferguson, Interim President. They are on a team with Mike Gourlay - VP, Corporate Services & CFO, Jill Schitka - VP, Patient Services & Chief Nursing Executive, and Peter Potts - Chief of Staff.
