Lucretia Cotton, CPA, MBA, currently serves as the Controller for the Oakland Public Education Fund since March 2022, in addition to being a Financial Consultant since 2008. With a diverse background in various financial roles, Lucretia has successfully provided accounting and tax services to small businesses and organizations, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, where responsibilities include accounting and tax functions for homeless shelters. Previous positions include Interim Controller roles at CFOs2GO and Silicon Valley International School, along with experience as Corporate Controller at Revolution Foods and Finance/Operations Director at bon appetit management company. Lucretia also contributed to academia as a faculty member at the University of Phoenix, teaching accounting and finance. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington and an Executive MBA from Golden Gate University.
