Farhan Sakif is a Platform Quality Analyst at StackAdapt. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Data Scientist at Geopolitica Technologies from July 2021 to May 2022. There, they were responsible for building data pipelines that collect data from the Twitter API or scraped from various online news sources and then stored in MongoDB for later analysis. Farhan also did time series forecasting (namely ARIMA) to predict the trajectory of geopolitical events and hosted virtual machines on Google Cloud.
From May 2018 to July 2018, Farhan worked as a painter at Remdal Painting & Restoration Inc. In this job, their team was responsible for the painting of houses in specific neighborhoods in Vancouver. Their responsibilities also included making sure there is no overspray on the tenants’ properties and that no waste was left at the end of the day.
Farhan has also worked as a soccer referee at UBC Recreation from January 2016 to March 2016 and from May 2018 to July 2018. In addition, they have experience as an event organizer, having worked at Smile Foundation from September 2014 to May 2015. Farhan's first job was as a sports journalist intern at BD Observer from March 2013 to May 2013.
Farhan Sakif has a Diploma in Data Science from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Political Science and Economics from The University of British Columbia, and a certification from DataCamp in Introduction to SQL. Farhan also has a certification from the International Baccalaureate in International Baccalaureate Diploma.
