Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen is a highly experienced professional in the technology and blockchain sectors, currently serving as a Bitcoin Builder at Stacks Open Internet Foundation since April 2022, focusing on decentralized finance (DeFi), decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO), and blockchain bridges. Prior to this role, Cohen co-founded This Is Number One, which produced a distinctive set of NFTs collaborating with notable artists and entertainers, and co-founded Risidio, which aims to develop the User Owned Internet and leverage smart contracts secured by the Bitcoin blockchain. Cohen's earlier experience includes a decade as a Technical Architect at bidlogix, where a new auction platform was developed, and roles as a Software Engineer at The Guardian and Requirements Manager at Ericsson. Cohen holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics from the University of Sussex.
