Donna Mejia

Donna Mejia serves as the Dream Up Festival Manager at Theater for the New City, overseeing communications for new works by diverse artists since February 2015. Mejia has experience as a director for various theatrical productions, including "A Walk on the Beach," "NoWhere Man," and "Victoria Woodhull," while also curating children's festivals and directing performances. At St. Francis Preparatory School, Mejia has been a Drama Director and Performing Arts Educator since 1998, staging numerous full-scale productions and earning the Excellence in Education Award in June 2020. Further involvement includes roles with the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and The Peoples Improv Theater, where Mejia contributed as Movement Director for the musical "Happy Birthday David." Educational credentials include a BFA in Dance and Theater from the Boston Conservatory, play analysis and theater history studies at Hunter College, and professional studies in Performing Arts Management from NYU.
