Meredith Olson has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Meredith is currently the CEO of VELA Education Fund, where they develop the vision and executes the strategy to position the organization as a leader in permissionless innovation in education. Additionally, they serve on the Board of Directors of VELA since 2020.

In 2015, Meredith joined Stand Together as Vice President, K-12, a role that they still hold. Prior to this, they held multiple positions at Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, including Vice President of Public Affairs and Managing Director of Operations.

Meredith also has experience in the non-profit sector. Meredith is the President of Koch Companies Community Fund where they focus on creating an inclusive environment for individuals to develop their unique talents and abilities. Similarly, they serve as the President of Koch Family Foundation, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Kansans through arts and education. In both roles, they are an active member of the respective Board of Directors.

Earlier in their career, Meredith worked at Koch Industries, Inc. as a Director of Business Development. Meredith also gained experience as an M&A Advisor at Shell Oil Company and held various roles including Business Development Associate and Project Engineer at Shell. During their time at Shell, they provided design engineering, construction support, and managed construction projects related to offshore production platforms and oil storage facilities.

Meredith Olson obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. Meredith later pursued further education and completed an MBA in Economics and Finance at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business between 2000 and 2002.
