Tonya Spaulding Carter

Tonya Spaulding Carter has extensive experience in human resources with a focus on leadership, strategic planning, and employee relations. Tonya is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at StandardAero. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Human Resources Strategic Partner at Bon Secours Mercy Health, where they provided leadership to HR teams and developed organizational design and human capital plans.

Before joining Bon Secours Mercy Health, Tonya held the position of Senior Director of Human Resources at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where they led effective HR teams and collaborated with senior leadership to improve employee engagement and implement talent management strategies.

Tonya also gained valuable experience as the Vice President of Senior HR Consultant at National City Bank, where they implemented employee commitment plans, developed performance management processes, and resolved employee relations matters.

Earlier in their career, Tonya worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Kao Corporation and GE Capital, where they led department restructures, facilitated change management initiatives, and managed workforce reductions.

Tonya Spaulding Carter earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Resources Development from Xavier University between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Corporate Communications from Xavier University, completing their studies between 1989 and 1996. Tonya also holds various certifications including Certified Corporate Coach from Core Essentials LLC, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from GE Capital, Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicators from the Center for Applications of Psychological Type, Inc., and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from SHRM.
