Alison Marsden

Alison Marsden is a Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Bioengineering at Stanford University, where tenure has extended from July 2015 to the present, after serving as Associate Professor. Marsden's academic contributions also include roles as Associate Editor for the Journal of Biomechanical Engineering from 2013 to December 2020 and for PLOS Computational Biology from 2016 to 2017. Prior to current responsibilities at Stanford, Marsden held positions as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at UC San Diego from July 2007 to June 2015, and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Stanford University from January 2005 to July 2007. Academic qualifications include a PhD and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University.
