Arzan Tarapore is a research scholar at Stanford University since August 2020, specializing in Indian foreign and defense policy and regional security in the Indo-Pacific. Tarapore also serves as a non-resident senior fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, focusing on Indian foreign and defense policy. Previously, Tarapore was an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University, teaching a core class in Grand Strategy and Military Strategy. Experience includes positions as a summer associate at RAND Corporation and a visiting fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, along with a decade-long tenure as a liaison officer and analyst for Defence Australia, where responsibilities involved providing political-military advice and leading multidisciplinary teams. Educational qualifications include a PhD in War Studies from King's College London, an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics, and a BA (Hons) in Political Science and History from UNSW.
