Ashwyn Sam is a PhD candidate at Stanford University in the Plasma Simulations in Space Environment and Satellite Systems (SESS) lab since March 2022. Concurrently serving as a research mentor at Polygence since September 2022, Ashwyn has previously worked as a research assistant at SimCenter from January 2018 to May 2020, focusing on multi-fidelity methods and physics-based models for turbulent flow investigations. Ashwyn also contributed to chess education as a coach for Chess Ninja from August 2019 to April 2020 and gained experience as a summer research intern at Astec, Inc. in April 2017. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University (2020-2025), a Master of Science in the same field from Stanford University (2020-2022), alongside dual bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2017-2020), where honors included Highest Honors and Summa Cum Laude. Additionally, Ashwyn participated in the King Global Leadership Program through Knight-Hennessy Scholars.
