Mark Hassan

Mark Hassan has a diverse work experience in talent acquisition and recruitment roles. Mark started their career as a Senior Recruiter at REI in 2010 and later became a Supervisor, leading a team in hiring for the company's contact center and distribution centers. After that, they worked as a Sourcing Recruiter at Amazon through TalentFusion RPO in 2013. Mark then joined Redfin as their Senior Recruiting Manager, where they built and improved various recruiting programs and metrics. In 2017, they worked as a Recruiting Consultant at Reverb before joining Juno Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Program Manager, overseeing hiring processes and managing headcount reporting. In 2018, they transitioned to Nordstrom as a Recruiting Manager, responsible for early career recruiting efforts and recruitment marketing. In 2020, they joined Zymeworks Inc. as a Manager, Staffing Operations, leading the team in recruiting systems, onboarding, mobility, and workforce planning. Mark then moved to Rad Power Bikes in 2021 as the Head Of Recruitment, scaling the talent acquisition function during a period of rapid growth. Currently, they serve as the Head of Talent Acquisition at Stanley 1913, a company founded in 1913 known for innovation and inspiration.

Mark Hassan attended Macalester College from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI, and completed various courses in data visualization, data analysis, and business metrics through Coursera in 2020.
