Shailesh Waikar

Shailesh Waikar is an experienced engineering leader specializing in motor controls and power tools, currently serving as Engineering Director for Advanced Motor Controls at Stanley Black and Decker, Inc. since May 2019, and as Senior Technology Manager since August 2017. Previous roles include Director of HVAC Engineering at Regal Beloit Corporation, General Manager at Electrical Systems Integrator LLC, and Engineering Manager at Stanley Black and Decker, where Shailesh introduced Brushless motor technology. Shailesh also contributed to academia as a part-time faculty member at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and advanced degrees from Indian Institute of Science and COEP Technological University, Shailesh has a strong foundation in electronics and motor control systems development.
