Jose Leon

Jose Leon was born in Costa Rica but considers himself a global citizen having spent a significant part of his life in Taiwan, France, Singapore, Germany, and India. He speaks fluent Spanish, English, Mandarin, and German, and often surprises his colleagues in StanPlus with his rapidly increasing grasp of Hindi.

Jose leads StanPlus as its CTO and also manages the finance and HR functions.

Having grown up in San Jose, he moved to Taiwan on a full scholarship to study Computer Science at Tsing Hua University. He joined McKinsey right after and worked with the firm for 4 years as a Geospatial Tech Analyst. At the same time, he tried his hand at entrepreneurship with a public transport app, which he coded himself from the ground up. Jose also worked with Yelp, Germany as a Product Manager for one year, leading their business-facing tech.

​With a desire to round up his tech experience, Jose did an MBA from INSEAD and has been with StanPlus based in Hyderabad, India from 2016 onwards.
