Motaz Sabri

Motaz Sabri has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Motaz is currently serving as the VP Merchandising & Strategic Growth Initiatives at Staples Canada since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bunzl Canada as the Vice President of Global Sourcing, Category Management & New Product Development from August 2021 to January 2022. Motaz also held the position of Vice President of Sales & Operation at Bunzl's largest business division from December 2018 to August 2021, where they managed long-term strategies and daily operations for multiple industries. Before joining Bunzl, Motaz was the Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain at Loblaw Companies Limited from April 2017 to December 2018. Motaz also held the role of Global Sourcing Director of the Enterprise Procurement Group at Loblaw from October 2008 to April 2017. Motaz has diverse experience in sourcing, supply chain, and procurement, having worked in various roles in these fields at Loblaw from August 2002 to October 2008. Motaz has also served on the Board of Directors at Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM) from March 2016 to March 2017 and started their career at Johnson & Johnson as a Purchasing & Planning Manager from July 1996 to August 2002.

Motaz Sabri holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Damascus University. In 2021, they completed the Bunzl Senior Leadership Development Program offered by the Center for Strategy & Leadership - C4SL in collaboration with Tias School for Business & Society, Tilburg University, and Antwerp Management School, University of Antwerp.
