Amit Kalra

Amit Kalra has extensive work experience in the supply chain and operations field. Amit began their career at IBM (formerly Yantra Corporation) in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Consultant in the Order Management and Warehousing space. In this role, they were responsible for gathering client/market requirements and leading the design, development, and implementation efforts for incorporating new requirements into the product.

In 2004, Amit joined Manhattan Associates as a Senior Manager. Amit played a key role in market analysis, product roadmap definition, requirement gathering, design, and delivery of major product releases for Manhattan's Logistics Suite. Amit contributed to the significant revenue growth of 100% by successfully selling the value proposition of Private Fleet as part of Pre Sales to leading clients in the Retail and Distribution verticals.

In 2007, Amit joined Accenture as an Executive/Senior Manager in the Management Consulting group. Amit delivered e-commerce and supply chain solutions while directly working with client Senior executives. During their tenure, they led large-scale digital transformational initiatives in omni-channel commerce, distribution, and logistics areas. Amit also played a crucial role in establishing new practices at Accenture by winning major deals, delivering on key accounts, and putting together the organizational elements for sustained growth.

Most recently, Amit served as the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Staples, starting in 2019. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Vice President/Vice President of Strategy, Automation, Operations, and Analytics from 2016 to 2019. Amit also served as the Senior Director of Supply Chain from 2012 to 2015. In these roles, they played a significant part in optimizing supply chain operations, implementing automation solutions, and driving strategic initiatives for the company.

Amit Kalra completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Delhi Institute of Technology between 1993 and 1997. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued their Master of Business Administration in Operations and Systems from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
