Maunette Loeks

Maunette Loeks is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Deputy Editor at Star-Herald since January 2023. Previously, Maunette held the position of Community Content Coordinator at Lee Enterprises from January 2022 to January 2023 and also acted as interim Deputy Editor at Star-Herald during part of 2022, overseeing daily newsroom operations and facilitating a transition to a regional design center. Maunette's extensive tenure at Star-Herald from March 2002 to January 2022 as Digital Editor involved leading multiple redesigns, developing posting and social media strategies, producing video content, and writing reports on various topics, including government and health. The early career began as a reporter at the Western Nebraska Observer, where Maunette served from May 1998 to March 2002.
