Lars Heling

Lars Heling has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2014, Lars started as an intern at the Electronics Research Laboratory, where they worked on research and software development for navigation software features using C++. In the following years, Lars worked as a student tutor and a working student at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) and the FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik, respectively.

In 2016, Lars joined cubuslab GmbH as a working student, gaining practical experience in the company. Lars then returned to KIT as a student assistant, assisting with various tasks. In 2017, Lars briefly worked as a consultant at aflexio Gesellschaft für Management und Prozessberatung mbH.

During their time at KIT, Lars also undertook a research associate and PhD student role, focusing on federated query processing, knowledge graph construction, and decentralized query processing over heterogenous sources of knowledge graphs. Lars was involved in publicly-funded projects and published their work. Lars also served as a lecturer at the HECTOR School of Engineering & Management, teaching and supervising students.

From 2021 to 2022, Lars worked as a research engineer at Bosch, and in 2022, they joined Stardog as a software engineer.

Lars Heling pursued their education at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. Lars completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from KIT in the years 2011 to 2015. Lars then furthered their studies at KIT and earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from 2015 to 2017. After completing their master's degree, Lars continued their academic journey at KIT and obtained a Doktor (Dr.-Ing.) degree in Informatik from 2017 to 2021. In addition to their degrees, Lars was also a participant in the development program for future IT executives at the Software Campus.
