Alex Herbets

Alex Herbets currently serves as the Director of GEO Business and Government Affairs at Starfish Space, a position held since June 2023, focusing on business development and government affairs. Prior to this role, Alex was a Business Development Manager at Starfish Space and an MBA Associate at Cultivation Capital, where support was provided for the early-stage Geospatial Tech Fund. From February 2019 to July 2021, Alex worked at Viasat Inc. as a Project Engineer, leading teams in the design and construction of large ground stations, after previously serving as a System Integration Engineer in the same company. Alex holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Emory University. Additionally, summer studies in Economics were completed at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
