Jan Gustav Grolig

Jan Gustav Grolig is an accomplished professional in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as COO at Stargate Hydrogen Solutions since May 2022, where the focus is on developing efficient and cost-effective alkaline electrolyzers. Prior to this role, Grolig held various positions at HEXIS AG, including Head of Technology and Innovation and Team Leader of Materials and Stack Development, contributing significantly to the advancement of solid oxide fuel cells. Grolig's career began with positions at Wretec and Chalmers University of Technology, encompassing roles as a Materials Process Engineer and Postdoctoral Researcher, respectively. Grolig holds a PhD in Material Sciences/Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology and has additional degrees from ETH Zürich and Kiel University, demonstrating a strong educational foundation in materials science.
