James Ronaldson FCCA

James Ronaldson FCCA has worked in various roles in the finance and accounting industry since 2002. James began their career as a Building Surveyor at GLM Building Surveyors, Architects and Project Managers in 2002, where they were responsible for project managing construction projects up to £1.5 million in value and chairing regular progress meetings. In 2013, they moved to Bethany Christian Trust as the Finance & HR Manager, leading the finance and HR functions of a medium sized UK charity of approx. 200 salaried staff and responsible for producing consolidated annual statutory accounts. In 2015, they took on the role of Head of Finance at Booktrust, leading the finance function of a medium sized UK charity with a turnover of c. £10m and responsible for the organisation's budget setting process and overall responsibility for the production of the organisation's statutory accounts. In 2017, they moved to The Biochemical Society as the Head of Finance, where they were a key member of the senior management team and set out and presented the organisation's long-term financial strategy to trustees and senior management. James is currently the Head of Finance at Starlight Children's Foundation, a nationally recognised London-based not-for-profit organisation, and is responsible for both strategic and day-to-day operation of the organisation's finance function and chairing Heads team meetings.

James Ronaldson FCCA obtained their Chartered Certified Accountant Professional Qualification from ACCA in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) from The University of Edinburgh in 1999. James is currently enrolled in a program at the University of Cambridge, Applying Psychology in the Workplace.
