Monjurul Akhter

Monjurul Akhter has over 10 years of work experience in the Human Resources field. Monjurul began their career in 2001 as a Manager of HR & Administration at Global Consulting Group (GCG). In this role, they were responsible for leading the HR team to ensure overall logistics support of the organization, supervising the HR team, and making recommendations and changes regarding HR issues, policy updates and staffing levels. In 2013, they moved to Cityscape International Ltd. as AGM Human Resources (Head of HR). In this role, they were responsible for actively taking part in overall organizational decision making process, coordinating the design, implementation and administration of HR policies & activities, developing a HR team, and ensuring professional HR service to the organization. In 2014, Monjurul Akhter took on two additional roles: International HR Project Coordinator at StarOfService and Chairman & Chief Consultant at OrderBox. At StarOfService, they were responsible for providing project coordination for assigned projects and utilizing established program methodology in developing project tasks & deliverables. At OrderBox, they were responsible for engaging in multi-purpose business activities including EXPORT, IMPORT, HR & MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY. Finally, in 2014, Monjurul Akhter also took on a part-time role as an HR Consultant at Global Consulting Group (GCG). In this role, they were responsible for maintaining an advisory role in planning and implementing of various HR management projects and policy development.

Monjurul Akhter has a comprehensive education background. Monjurul began their educational journey in 1994, when they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. with Honours) in English Literature from National University (Dhaka College). Monjurul then went on to receive a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English Literature from National University (Dhaka College) in 1998. In 2006, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Marketing from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. Finally, in 2012, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM) from Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM). Monjurul Akhter also holds numerous certifications from various institutions, including Management Development Center (MDC), Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), Alliance Française de Dhaka, BSHRM, National Academy for Planning and Development, Ministry of Planning, Bangladesh Government, British Council, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), icddr,b, Pfizer India, and bdjobs Training.
