Katherine Emberly

Katherine Emberly serves as President & CEO of STARS since September 2023 and has been a member of the Board of Directors for Alberta Blue Cross since April 2022. Previously, Katherine held multiple leadership roles at Shaw Communications from May 2003 to April 2023, including President of Business and Senior Vice President of Marketing. Katherine's early career includes positions as Account Director at Rethink Communications and Grey Group and Project Manager at DDB Canada. Katherine holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, completed the CTAM Executive Leadership program at Harvard Business School in 2012, and earned a BSc in Home Economics from the University of Alberta (1989-1993).
