What is Start Proud: Start Proud aims to connect LGBTQ+ students with employers, while promoting the development of LGBTQ+ professionals, and celebrating the achievements and service of those in the community.

We facilitate the professional development of LGBTQ+ students as they transition from school to career in order to build a national network within the community. Our vision is to empower members of the LGBTQ+ community to be Canada’s leaders of tomorrow, where all institutions embrace inclusiveness within the workplace and diversity within the workforce.

About the Role: Reporting to the VP of Member Engagement, you will be responsible for our engagement outreach strategy across Canada and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and staff on behalf of Start Proud to further promote our events and initiatives.

You will also support the development of Start Proud's growth strategy and the way in which we engage our members on a regular basis.

In this role you will: You will be the principal account manager for a specific stakeholder relationship (university campuses and alumni industries) across Canada.

Commitment

  • ~2-5 hours per week
  • Some daytime availability is desired for meetings with Alumni
  • Mandatory attendance at Membership Engagement team meetings
  • No experience is required. We’re happy to train people with the motivation to learn

Geographies and Work Location This posting applies to a pool of roles that manage relationships across Canada, with individuals managing specific industries of alumni, campus relationships, and/or member audiences.
