Tina Schirr

Tina Schirr serves as the Executive Director of the BusinessNZ Energy Council (BEC) since October 2015, playing a pivotal role in driving sustainable energy initiatives in New Zealand. In addition to this leadership position, Tina holds numerous advisory and board roles, including positions at the National Energy Research Institute, Transpower New Zealand, and the World Energy Council, contributing expertise in energy policy, innovation, and sustainability. Tina's formal education includes a Master’s in Value Chain Management from Technische Universität Chemnitz and a Bachelor's degree in Management of Energy Utilities from the University of Applied Sciences at Zwickau, alongside several specialized courses in energy economics and international marketing.
