Sara K. Dean

Sara K. Dean serves as the Managing Director at Starting Arts since September 2023 and has been a Dance Fitness Instructor at Southwest YMCA since October 2009, where two unique Dance Fit classes were created. In addition to these roles, Sara K. Dean has experience as the Group Exercise Manager at Southwest YMCA, including a stint as Interim Group Exercise Director, and has overseen a team of over 60 instructors. Recently, Sara K. Dean directed and co-choreographed "Elf, The Musical" for Los Altos Stage Company. Previously, as Executive Artistic Director for South Bay Musical Theatre, and as Company Manager for American Musical Theatre of San Jose, Sara K. Dean managed various projects and productions. Additional directing experience includes "Once on this Island" for Sunnyvale Community Players and production management for Children's Musical Theatre of San Jose. Educational credentials include a BFA in Theatre from New York University and ongoing pursuit of a Master of Arts in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Southern Utah University.
