Boaz Kiptoo has work experience as a Full-stack Developer at Opticom Kenya Limited since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelancer C expert and project consultant at Kenya startups through Startups.com from January 2020. From October 2020 to February 2022, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Imarika Africa Development Organisation (IMADO). Before that, from December 2019 to September 2021, they had a role at Amazon Concept Kenya as an Amazon Concept.

Boaz Kiptoo completed their Certificate in CS50: Introduction to the Intellectual Enterprises of Computer Science from CS50 in the years 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a BSc. degree in Electronics and Microprocessor Systems from the University of Nairobi from 2018 to 2022. In 2018 to 2019, they also obtained a certificate in Introduction to Computer Science from Harvard University.

In terms of additional certifications, Boaz obtained various certifications in different fields. Boaz completed a Software Development certification from the Power Learn Project in January 2023. In September 2022, they obtained the AWS Machine Learning Foundation 2022 certification from Udacity and the 5G – Mobile Communication Evolution Huawei Certificate from Huawei. Boaz also received certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Course, AWS Machine Learning Engineer Badge, Cisco Certified Network Associate Industrial (CCNA I), CompTIA Network+, Infrastructure Technologies for CCNP Enterprise Core Course, Introduction to Cloud Computing, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to IoT, Data Analytics Packages, EQ-2 Resilience and Mental Strength – Emotional Intelligence, Microsoft DevOps Academy Certified, certificate in typing in English with a speed of 28 wpm and an accuracy of 97.9% from Ratatype, and the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google. These certifications were obtained throughout 2022 and early 2023 from various institutions such as Cisco Networking Academy, Cisco, Mathematics Association of Nairobi University (M.A.N.U), Udemy, Microsoft, and Ratatype.
