Douglas Swetnam

Douglas Swetnam is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Section Chief of the Data Privacy & Identity Theft Unit at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General since August 2017. In this role, Douglas leads multi-state investigations and litigation regarding technology, data breaches, and privacy statutes, while collaborating with various global regulatory agencies. Additionally, as Acting Co-Chair of the Legal and Insurance Working Group for the Indiana Executive Cybersecurity Council, Douglas oversees Cybersecurity Risk Management assessments. Prior experience includes roles as an attorney and consultant, with significant contributions in strategic marketing and communications for notable companies. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Arts in History/Speech from Wabash College and a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
