Desirea Murray

Desirea Murray has extensive experience in workforce development and recruitment, currently serving as the Director of Workforce Development for the State of Maine since October 2019. Previously, Desirea held the position of Recruitment and Retention Specialist at the Riverview Psychiatric Center, where responsibilities included creating advertisements and planning recruitment events. Desirea also worked as a Senior Consumer Assistant Specialist with the Maine Public Utilities Commission, managing consumer inquiries and complaints. Early career roles included marketing and recruitment at the Maine Recruitment Center and a position as a correspondent for The Kennebec Journal. Desirea holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and Marketing from Thomas College.
