Michael Duguay is an experienced leader in economic and business development, currently serving as Commissioner for the State of Maine since March 2025. As the Managing Principal at Pardon The Innovation, Duguay focuses on empowering organizations through strategic growth and transformative change. Previously, Duguay held the role of VP of Innovation at Thomas College, where responsibilities included fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration across various innovation centers. As Executive Director of the Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation, Duguay facilitated resources and programming for students and entrepreneurs. Additional experience includes leadership roles in business development and municipal operations, with a foundation in economic development services from earlier positions in the State of Maine and MidCoast Council for Business Development. Duguay holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in Community Development from the University of New Hampshire.
