Tara Johnson

Tara Johnson currently serves as the Chief Wellness Officer for the State of Ohio, a position held since May 2024. Previously, from January 2022 to May 2024, Tara held the role of Manager of Health & Productivity / Clinical Informatics at Alliant Employee Benefits, where responsibilities included managing a diverse portfolio of clients and leveraging data for strategic health benefit solutions. Earlier experience includes Director of Benefits at EXPRESS, Vice President of Benefits at Fifth Third Bank, and System Director for Employee Health & Absence at Bon Secours Mercy Health. Throughout their career, Tara has demonstrated expertise in benefits strategy, employee health programs, and health care cost management. Tara's academic qualifications include pursuing a PhD in Health Services from Walden University and holding multiple degrees in health administration and public health policy.
