Andrea Cantu-Schomus

Andrea Cantu-Schomus is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Oregon Department of Agriculture since March 2018. With a strong background in public sector communication, Andrea has held various positions including Communications roles with the Oregon Department of Human Services and the Oregon Health Authority, as well as serving as Director of Communications for the Secretary of State. Earlier in the career, Andrea worked as a Communications Manager for the Department of Human Services and gained valuable experience as a television news reporter across multiple news stations. Andrea holds an MBA in Marketing from Willamette University and a BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
