Karen Wong

Karen Wong is the current Global Head of ESG and Sustainable Investing at State Street Global Advisors. Prior to this, they were with Mellon from February 2018 to December 2020, where they were Managing Director and Head of Index Portfolio Management. Wong was also named 2020 ESG Champion. From June 2000 to February 2018, they were Managing Director and Head of Equity Portfolio Management at Mellon Capital. Prior to that, Wong worked as a Security Analyst at Redwood Securities from January 1999 to June 2000.

Karen Wong has a MBA, Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Statistics and Minor in Finance from San Francisco State University. Karen also has certification from the CFA Institute in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and from SASB – Sustainability Accounting Standards Board in FSA Level II candidate. Lastly, they have certification from The Canadian Securities Institute in CSI Derivatives Fundamentals Course & CSI Futures Licensing Course.
