Kevin Shen

Kevin Shen, CPA, CFA, CISA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Kevin began their career at Deloitte & Touche as an Audit Associate from August 2002 to February 2004. Kevin then joined Capital One Financial Corporation as an Audit Support Manager of the Professional Practice Group from February to December 2004.

In December 2004, Kevin took on the role of Chief Internal Auditor/Audit Director at Tokio Marine Group and held this position until June 2012. Kevin then moved to BNY Mellon, where they served as a VP & Control Group Manager for Investment Services from May 2012 to October 2014. During this time, they led a team, provided control assurance, conducted risk assessments, and managed control testing projects.

From October 2014 to June 2015, Kevin worked at Macquarie Group as the Head of Finance Operational Risk Management - Americas. In June 2015, they joined HSBC as the Senior VP and Head of Audit Operations & Strategic Initiatives. In this role, they served as the Chief Operating Officer for various functions such as Chief Auditor, Audit Committee Reporting, Audit Innovation, and Audit Planning.

Most recently, starting in February 2023, Kevin became the Managing Director and Head of Audit Quality Assurance at State Street. Overall, their experience encompasses various aspects of audit, risk management, control assurance, and operational risk management.

Kevin Shen, CPA, CFA, CISA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from Shanghai University. Kevin later earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) specializing in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University - M.J. Neeley School of Business. In 2017, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business for the Advanced Leadership Program in Business Administration and Management. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kevin Shen also holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
