Midori Morikawa has extensive work experience in various roles related to economic development, workforce development, and program management. Midori is currently the Head of Corporate Citizenship as a Managing Director at State Street. Prior to this, they held positions at the City of Boston, where they served as the Deputy Chief of Economic Opportunity & Inclusion, Interim Chief of Economic Development, and Director of Business Strategy. Midori also worked at the Mayor's Office of Workforce Development as the Deputy Director of Workforce and Policy Development. In addition, they have held roles at YWCA Boston, Action for Boston Community Development, and AIDS Project Worcester. Before their professional career, Midori worked as a researcher and teaching assistant at Ochanomizu University, where they conducted interviews and focus groups and analyzed qualitative data. Midori Morikawa received their high school diploma from Jakarta International School in the years 1993 to 2001. Following this, they completed their Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Suffolk University in the year 2011 to 2012.
