Shishir Malik

Shishir Malik has extensive work experience in financial services and research. Shishir has held various roles at different companies, starting with their current position as Vice President 2/Global Treasury/Head of Bond Research at State Street since June 2020. Prior to that, they were a part of the Senior Leadership team in the Financial Services sector at Evalueserve from September 2019 to May 2020. Shishir also worked as a Mentor in the EdTech industry at a confidential company from March 2019 to September 2019.

Between 2013 and 2018, Shishir was associated with Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, where they held two Vice President roles. Shishir initially worked as the Vice President of Buy Side at Lyxor Asset Management from April 2018 to March 2019. Later, they became the Unit Head of Private Banking Equity Solutions, where they successfully set up the Private Banking research teams and managed the Equity wealth management teams.

Before their time at Societe Generale, Shishir worked at Credit Suisse as an Assistant Vice President in Global Research. Shishir started in January 2010 and left in September 2013. In this role, they were responsible for providing fundamental credit views and recommendations for global corporates across sectors. Shishir also initiated coverage on multiple sectors and analyzed investment opportunities for private banking clients. Shishir played a key role in driving cross-asset projects involving thematic research and investment ideas.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Shishir worked at Bank of America, where they held two roles. From February 2009 to January 2010, they were an Associate IC in Credit Risk, managing corporate funding, liquidity, and financial risk for the Australia and New Zealand regions. Earlier, from August 2006 to January 2009, they worked as a Team Leader in Equity Research, specializing in US-based Metals & Mining and Machinery companies.

Shishir began their career at SmartAnalyst in March 2005, where they were an Analyst in Equity Research. Shishir supported Hedge Funds and Investment Banks and was responsible for conducting equity research, financial analysis, and modeling of stocks. Before that, they worked briefly as a Project Manager at Netscribes in 2004 and as a Treasury Operations professional at OTIS in 2002.

Shishir's earliest work experience was as a Business Analyst at act group from July 2001 to June 2002. Overall, their work experience spans a wide range of roles and responsibilities in the financial services and research industry.

Shishir Malik has a diverse education history. Shishir obtained an MBA degree in Accounting & Finance from The University of Sheffield in 2004. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate Course in Export Marketing (Executive course) at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in 2001. In 2000, they received a BBA degree in Business Finance from the University of East London. Before their university studies, they obtained a Basic Business Certificate (A Levels) from West London College in 1997. Shishir started their education journey at Springdales School, where they studied business from 1981 to 1997.
