Sukumar Sekhar

Sukumar Sekhar is a seasoned financial operations executive with extensive experience in the banking and finance sector. Currently serving as Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Markets and Financing Operations at State Street since April 2024, Sukumar previously held multiple director roles at Credit Suisse, leading APAC & India Cash Settlements and Global OTC/FX Confirmations. Prior to that, Sukumar was a Director at Citi India, focusing on Global Reconciliation Utility and operational leadership, and held various vice president positions at J.P. Morgan, overseeing teams in Investment Banking operations, credit risk management, and forex operations. Sukumar's career began at Deutsche Bank as an AVP in Derivative Documentation, and includes formative roles at Standard Chartered and Global Business Technology Services. Sukumar holds a B.Com from the University of Madras and completed a Chartered Accountancy qualification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
